Soldier rankings in the Aldruin army.

Lord Knight - The Lord Knights are an exclusive order of the highest rank of knights. By default, they outrank anyone on the battlefield, and answer only to the King and directly appointed Lords otherwise. They are easy to spot on the battlefield from their crimson capes and unique armour style, including a helmet that is by law only worn by a Lord Knight. Given that they tend to have more money than others, their armour is often plated in precious metals, or even constructed of a mythril alloy. They usually wield a sword and short sword together.

General - Generals are the highest rank of the normal army. Often, they disappear when the general of a branch of the army becomes a Lord Knight, though there have been cases where the Lord Knight appoints a General to function alongside him. They tend to where more armour than either their underlings or the Lord Knights. Their capes are pitch black (excuse the lack of color here)

Captain - Each General or Lord Knight usually has 4 or 5 Captains under his wing. Though the Generals and Lord Knights lead troops themselves, the Captains take divisions of them to better control and move the army. The Captain of the Hunters, when hired by Aldruin, is ranked as a Captain, and the General who governs him is technically given full command of the Hunters for that time. Captains wear capes of green.

Soldier - Basic soldiers come in all shapes and sizes. Many times, they are divided into specific categories, such as archers, axemen, stealth teams, or cavalry. Each category have commanders who command the soldiers under command of the Captains. And though not technically holding higher rank, Knights of the Realm are held in much higher esteem than recruits and militia. Commanders wear un-dyed capes, ranging from brown to white. Otherwise, armour and gear depends on what each soldier does, and how much money they have to pay for it.
